Graffiti isn’t meant to last forever. I’d prefer someone draw a mustache and glasses on one of my pieces than encase it in Perspex.
Calgary, AB installation piece. Walking leg sculptures painted bright orange along river and commuter walking/bike paths.
… and yup, that’s a ghostly double in the picture

Well, a big part street art is knowing that whether it be an install/stencil/or poster.. it’s not going to last forever. Obviously we’re more pleased when things stay up for a while, but it’s not a surprise if it’s taken down soon. We like to hope that people will enjoy looking at the pieces and see them as art, and therefore not take them down right away but the reality of things is that they usually get taken down sooner rather than later

two more installs just put up in Calgary - definitely some of our coolest stuff yet! stay tuned for pics and a special video clip that we’re posting in the morning
(remember, first person to submit a photo of an install to us wins a free doppelgangr tshirt! so go out there and check them out!)
more installs in calgary tonight…
just keep thinking of ideas, and then going out and doing those things. Whether it be painting, sculpture, street art.. A lot of people are scared to try something out that they thought of, maybe because its different than what they usually do or maybe because they’re unsure of how it’ll turn out. But actually going through with it - creating and going through with the ideas that you come up with and turning your ideas into reality is the best advice I can give to anyone.
thanks for the mention!
hey emmymilan.. good question. In general you’ll get a pack of between 3-5 stickers
We chose doppelgangr because of the meaning behind it, the word itself is known in english here as well. There really isn’t an english word with the same meaning of a ghostly double of someone, and we thought considering what we’re doing… that it was a fitting name
Nixon.
